Colville National Forest Details

Colville National Forest produces approximately 38 million board feet of sawlog grade timber annually as a by-product of forest restoration work, with 5,000 BF of timber produced per acre on average. This treatment leaves the forest healthier and closer to natural conditions while providing valuable inputs and sustaining the local economy.

Wood in the Ray Hall building directly supported the restoration of 40 acres. Work is being done in collaboration with Tribal Nations, the NEWFC forest collaborative, and other partners.

Restoration wood products milled and fabricated from Colville restoration material are prime examples of sustainable wood supply options with direct and quantifiable community and conservation values.
